ASSIMILATION
The new member assimilator is responsible for welcoming new members, providing helpful information, helping them feel at home and bonding them to the church through relationships.
AUDIO/VISUAL
The audio/video tape ministry director will handle all orders for audiocassette or videotape messages and perform special services, from receiving the order/funds to delivering the tapes.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
The Children’s Church Ministry is a vital ministry in the local church. Scripture clearly shows that we are to diligently teach the children of the things pertaining to God and His Word (Deuteronomy 6:1-5). Jesus placed a great deal of emphasis on the importance of children and the need for sound instruction and training. Teachers in the Children’s Church play an important role in the lives of our children. As they teach and share, they are building solid Biblical foundation in the children and instruction in the things of God.
CORNERSTONE LIFE GROUP
This ministry is of vital importance to the Body of Christ because it is in these home settings that relationships are built, God’s Word is studied, and others who may not know Jesus as Lord may receive salvation in an atmosphere they perceive as less threatening than that of a church setting. Those who are leaders of these groups function as extensions of the pastoral ministry and play and important role in the growth and care of the individual members.
CHURCH EVENTS COORDINATOR
The fellowship coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating church-wide fellowship activities. This person(s) will recruit volunteers or contact appropriate ministry directors or committee members for assistance as needed.
GATEKEEPERS/USHERS
The ministry of the Gatekeeper or Usher is vital in the local church. In the Old Testament, the Levites who functioned in the roles of ushers were called porters/gatekeepers (2 Chronicles 23:4). They were placed at the doors and had charge over the vessels, opening the House of God, and insuring things were in order (1 Chronicles 9:25-34). The same applies today.
GREETERS/HOSPITALITY
Greeters are an extremely important ministry in the local church. A warm smile coming from a caring, friendly face speaks very loudly to someone who may be deeply troubled. This form of reception may prove to be the deciding factor as to whether or not that visitor/member avails himself/herself to the move of the Holy Spirit during the service.
INNER COURT SOUND
The Sound Ministry is a vital ministry in the local church. It is the conduit through which the Word of God and the Worship of God can be heard and felt in the midst of the congregation.
INNER COURT WORSHIP TEAM
Because anointed music is one of the primary media by which man is brought closer to God, the musician or singer should value highly their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. God desires a consecrated vessel to lead in the worship of His Son, Jesus.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry is a group of committed believers who have a ministry of prayer. The specific reason for its formation is to guide this local church through intercession. The Intercessory Prayer Ministry’s intention is to involve as many people as possible in praying for Church needs and items outlines in 1Timothy 2:1-3, thus, forming a strong army.
HEAVEN-BOUND RESOURCE CENTER (HBRC)
The Heaven Bound Resource Center Ministry provides teaching and insightful resources from God’s Word for the individual who is desirous of a deeper, more fruitful relationship with God. It is without question an important and responsible area of ministry. Books, tapes, and CDs are sold for Christ Church authors and recording artists, as well as for guest speakers who may have their own products.
HOMEBOUND/NURSING HOME VISITATION
The homebound/nursing home ministry director is responsible for organizing and overseeing the ministry of visiting and encouraging members and lonely community members who are homebound or living in nursing homes.
POWERPOINT PROJECTION
Assists during praise and worship by providing a lyrical visual enabling the congregation to sing-a-long and participate fully in the worship experience.
PRISON OUTREACH MINISTRY
The Prison Outreach Ministry fulfills the great commission of Jesus by preaching the gospel. Jesus also commands believers to minister to those in prison. Those involved in this ministry will share their personal testimony, sing songs, preach the Word of God and pray for inmates. The objective is to lead people to Christ and make disciples of them so that when they return to society they will live a life that is pleasing to God.
SECURITY
This person(s) is responsible for the overall security of the church facilities, and people meeting in them.
STEWARDSHIP
The Stewardship Ministry is a vital ministry in the local church. All members are responsible for maintaining an accurate account of all offerings submitted to the local church on a weekly basis. Integrity of character and a sound mind are high on God’s priority list, and are essential for all members of the Stewardship Ministry to possess.
SURE FOUNDATION CLASSES
It is upon a Sure Foundation that the building blocks of spiritual growth, maturity and leadership are formed. Sure Foundation classes are required for all members and are designed specifically for new members of Christ Church. With consecutive rotating schedules, the nine (9) classes that constitute Sure Foundation are offered twice per week on Sundays and Wednesdays.
YOUTH/TEENS (T.U.F.F.)
This is a vital ministry in the local church. Scripture clearly shows that we are to diligently teach the youth/teens of the things pertaining to God and His Word (Deut. 6:1-5). In addition, help young people make the right choices in a world with so many options. They must truly prove themselves to be T.U.F.F. (teens under fervent fire) in today’s society.
